Baba Suwe, NDLEA SAGA:This Is High level AFRICA-MAGIC – NDLEA Officials

CONTROVERSY continues to trail the arrest of popular home video actor cum comedian, Babatunde Nurudeen Omidina, popularly called Baba Suwe. 

Though, the anti-drug scanning machine at the airport which screened Baba Suwe detected some drugs hidden in his stomach leading to his arrest and eventual detention by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

The popular comedian has excreted three times but no traces of hard drugs were found in his excreta on the three occasions. This led to outcries from members of the public especially Baba Suwe’s colleagues in the Yoruba genre of Nollywood calling for the release of the comedian. His lawyers have even slammed a N100 million suit on the anti-drug agency.

However, the controversy deepens last Friday when a Lagos High Court gave the NDLEA authority to hold on to the comedian for 15 more days. This was sequel to the new discovery by a CT scan conducted on the actor which revealed that indeed there are drugs logged his body.

The raging controversy has been whether it is true that the actor has some drugs in his body. Many are of the belief that if indeed Baba Suwe has drugs in his body, he could have health problems since he was arrested. “If indeed he has hard drugs in his body, he should have died since,” Sade Oloriebi, an actress stated.

But the NDLEA would not have none of this. According to the anti-drug agency, Baba Suwe’s case is not isolated as there have been similar cases in the past. “In fact we have had cases where the accused raised curses on us after excreting three times but no drugs were discovered on them. However, after CT scans were carried out on them and drugs were discovered, they ate humble pie,” an official of NDLEA said.

Another controversy introduced into the matter now was the issue of juju popularly called Africa Magic. “There was no doubt about it. He was carrying drugs but we know he is powerful spiritually. The drugs may have disappeared through juju. The machine actually detected drugs in his system,” an official of NDLEA at the Airport disclosed.

Another NDLEA official corroborated his colleague’s claim. “Our machine detected it at the Airport, people said we are telling lies that we are just witch hunting him now that the CT scan conducted at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) has confirmed drugs in his body again what will people say? The fact remains that this man is using high level juju on us,” he said.

For those who are bringing in the juju angle, they pointed to the actor’s different postures as the drama unfolds. When he was first arrested, it was discovered that Baba Suwe was a little bit jittery. But as event unfolds, he started regaining his confidence leading to the show of support by his colleagues. He was even reported to have boasted to close friend and colleague, Jide Kosoko that even if he was asked to excrete one thousand times, they would not find anything on him.

Starlet Dencia attacked at Nigerian Hip Hop World Awards

Reports coming to us from the ongoing Nigerian Hip Hop World Awards (HEADIES) being held tonight at the Eko Hotel and Suites, suggest that starlet Dencia was attacked by a female as she made her way to the restrooms.

Our sources tell us that the lady identified as Liz Garvy, socialite and Lagos big girl who owns a shop on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi was a one time friend of the starlet. Liz had in the past abused the friendship they shared to the point where the police got involved and a warrant for her arrest was issued on charges of theft.

Instead of paying back her hostess with gratitude, Liz Garvy (who was with Blossom Nyepon) allegedly robbed Dencia of her passport, clothes and shoes all valued at around $20,000.

I have been working in Ghana and Nigeria.So, where is the ban?

And if people want to know there are people at my back because I had an issue with a producer (Abdul Sallam Mumuni) on set and we have settled it.

So, where is the envy coming from? I believe it is a colleague of mine who just wants me out of the way. And there is so much envy going on right now in the industry because of people who want to be there to shoot a thousand movie in one month.

How has all these allegations affected your career?

I’m the hottest girl right now. With what they say and write about me; people are calling and queuing for jobs.

There are scores of scripts begging for my attention.So.i don’t think anything has affected my career. It has helped me.

Some people don’t even know whom I was when I was nominated as the best actress at the Ghana Music Video Award.

Every sane thinking person from all over the country and outside, including many world leaders have condemned in no small measure, the dastardly bombing of the UN building in Abuja, the FCT about 2 days ago, the area where the building is located is said to be where many Embassies are located, and with the ease with which the suicide bomber was able to do his job, evading security officials before slamming into the building, and by that causing many deaths-official claims says 18 deaths and over 60+ seriously injured, then everyone most especially the embassies needs to be on the alert. Pro-Islamic sect Boko Haram has already claimed responsibility for the ungodly act.

We would like to ask a question, which we already think, defies any answer, what kind of God, is it that would support violence or the taking of another life for reasons of agitations, what gives any other human-being the right to end another man's life for whatever reason(s),, are this people in any way normal, are they human-beings at all?.

Why ask, if there is a cover up?, it's because a statement was released on FB by the former Minister for Aviation in the regime of the former President Olusegun Obasanjo, in the person of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, who said and we quote him--

Dr. David Edward, a young and brilliant Nigerian U.S-based medical practitioner (who has a 10 year old son) and who had just flown in from the U.S. for the programme was one of the speakers at the conference on the 3rd floor of the UN building. He was speaking at the conference when the bomb went off and he died instantly. They say only 18 people died. This is not true. Out of the 300 people that attended that conference on the 3rd floor of the UN building alone at least 150 were killed. And yet they will tell you that only 18 people died. This is an ungodly lie and it is disrespectful to those who had to pay the supreme price and that lost their lives. In the National Hospital mortuary alone over one hundred dead bodies were deposited and many other bodies were rushed to other mortuaries in the city of Abuja. Please ask your people to go and ask those that work at Abuja National hospital if you doubt this. What about the 20 children that were killed in the creche? There was no mention of them by the media or our government either.

What type of country is this? These 150 people are not being honoured in death because no-one knows that they were killed as well. They have not even been acknowledged as a number let alone by name. Is it now a crime to tell the world the amount of harm, evil and damage that Boko Haram has carried out? We lost many innocent souls yesterday and not just the 18 that are being reported in the press.The Nigerian people have a right to know the truth and this government had better start getting serious about security before it is too late and the whole country falls apart. Boko Haram must be crushed. Utterly crushed. They must be wiped out.

If what he has tried to say to all is to be believed, it then brings the question to mind, WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THE COVER UP, is there something to be gained by some one or some people, by not revealing the truth as it were, WHY COVER UP THE CASUALTIES OF SUCH A HEINOUS CRIME FOR WHAT GAIN

Yvonne to her defense had explained that she has expressed interest in the GMA award since she was declared a third part of the winners. To add further, the gem explained that the posh car her fans sees her riding through town belongs to her mother since she had none. Yes that explanation doesn’t make sense, or perhaps it further explains the speculations evolving around this saga.

Rumour has it that she (Yvonne) was also looking forward to receiving one posh automobile from One Top black star player whom she was sexing secretly.

An informant we spoke to on the issue revealed to us that she even went ahead to “sweet-talk” the player into buying her a particular brand car.

The informant added that Yvonne, despite her sweet-talk, fame and beauty ended up losing on both the car and the player. It turned out the man in question hates to date women in his own words are “controlling and demanding”.

A visibly angry Doherty was said to have achieved this with the aid of two fierce looking and gun tottering security operatives. He described the ejected family members and guests as ‘unruly lot’ and only allowed them back in when the couple were just minutes to arriving the place. Doherty’s anger stemmed from the uncontrollable character exhibited by the crowd at the gate that resulted in the pulling down of the gate.
